The Dock
The multipurpose art centre of Carrick is one of the main spots in Carrick-on-Shannon that attracts many tourists and locals each year. The art center is housed in a beautiful former Courthouse building from the 19. century. It overlooks the majestic river of Shannon and offers great highlight over the local landscape.
The Dock was opened in 2005. It offers various programs – from exhibitions and theatre performances to workshops and classes. It houses a small theatre scene with regular performances of music, theatre and more, three art galleries with monthly exhibitions, artists’ studios and a workshop space.
Excellent source of knowledge, culture and skills, the art center of Carrick-on-Shannon contributes to making this town a wonderful place to visit.
The Dock is the first integrated art centre of Leitrim.
