Carrick on shannon is a place that caters for all tastes. Visitors from around the world come here for a reason. Places Of Interest

The Costello Memorial Chapel reputed to be one of the smallest chapels in the world located in the town of Carrick-on-Shannon. Leitrim is renowned for its range of craftspeople living and working throughout the country, producing crystal, woodwork, furniture, jewellery, paintings and photography. Strokestown House & King House of special historic interest, are both within a 20 minute drive of the guesthouse.
 
 
Strokestown House
Strokestown Park House is an 18th century mansion which has been faithully restored. It is unique in that it retains its original furnishings and professionally guided tours allow visitors to browse freely through the stately surroundings.
 
 
King House
King House is a restored Georgian Mansion built around 1730 by Sir Henry King. His family were one of the most powerful and wealthy in Ireland.
 
 
Golf Club
Carrick-on-Shannon golf course is situated just 5 minutes from the guest house and over looks the picturesque river Shannon. This course is a must to play. Carrick will be one of those parkland courses that you can recommend to all your friends knowing that they will not leave disappointed. Maybe gob-smacked and shell-shocked, but not disappointed.
 
 
Shannon Fishery Board
The ShRFB is Ireland’s largest regional fisheries board. We are charged with responsibility for the conservation and development of the wide variety of fish species available in our waters covering a catchment area of over 7,000 sq miles. Our roles include protection, management, promotion and education.

The Dock, Carrick on Shannon’s new arts centre, houses intimate theatre space with regular performances, three art galleries with monthly exhibitions, artists’ studios, workshop space and The Leitrim Design House, a unique retail gallery with work from a wide array of local artists and designers.
